Condition Guidelines

Guidelines for Acceptable Product Conditions

At eastcoastdiabeticexchange.com, we follow a strict grading criteria when inspecting your items. It is crucial to triple-check your items and package them securely before mailing them to us. Since we need to resell these items, maintaining them in excellent condition will increase your payouts. While it is easy to overlook the condition of your boxes, we cannot pay full price for even the smallest cosmetic defects.

Please note that we are not liable for any items damaged in transit by mail carriers. Before shipping, ask yourself: would I purchase these supplies for full price?

Grading Conditions

We currently have three grading conditions for examining your items:

  1. Mint: Perfect condition, store shelf quality, no visible dings, dents, or scratches, regardless of size.
  2. Dinged: One or more small creases, bends, very tiny tears, dents, scratches, or minor discoloration.
  3. Damaged: Only purchasing select brands – this includes any damages under labels.

Unacceptable Conditions

We do not purchase items with:

  • Broken seals
  • Stains, smears, or tears covering expiration dates and lot numbers
  • Items not listed on our website
  • Expired items
  • Boxes with Sharpie marks or barcodes covered
  • Missing seal colors
  • Water stains

Each kit is evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and we will provide pictures of our inspection for proof.

Deductions

  • $3 deduction for all test strips
  • $5 deduction for all Libre products
  • $0.50 deduction for all lancets
  • $10 deduction for Dexcom, Omnipod, and Medtronic products

Note: Due to us covering the shipping costs, if any of your items are rejected during inspection, you will be subject to a return shipping fee.
